An exceptionally good instrument, fairly recently made and brought to the UK from Peshawar.
It has three playing strings, three drones and thirteen sympathetic strings. It is made from mulberry wood, extensively carved and inlayed with twisted brass wire and mother of pearl.
The instrument is in almost new condition and plays beautifully with a bright, crisp tone and great response from the sympathetic strings.
