A fruitwood renaissance bass flute by the late John Cousen (1926-2014).
It has a serious tuning issue. Whilst the bottom register is nicely in tune at A=440, the C in the second octave is coming out a semitone flat and it stops working beyond that. So it effectively has a range of an octave and a fourth. It is priced accordingly.
Cosmetically it’s in very good condition and those notes that work sound lovely.
