A nice 24 stringed bowed psaltery which, according to the label, was made in 1978 by one Gordon Cross. I can’t find out much about Mr. Cross but he seems to have known what he was doing.
A crack in the end grain of the peg block (pictured) but I’m not worried about it and the pegs are all turning and strings are holding their pitch.
I’ve completely restrung it and have replaced two of the zither pins. Plays well and sounds great.
