A 19th century rosewood fife in the key of D. It has one key giving a semitone above the tonic which at present is a bit slow to close. Once closed it stays there though so it’s perfectly possible to play it without it. The F# is a little flat of equal temprament as is typical with these instruments, giving something like a just-intoned third above the tonic. Otherwise it plays very nicely and at a polite volume.
