A very nice soprano ‘Spanish’ shawm in C, made in Norwich by the late John Hanchet.
I bought this new from the maker in about 2013. It is a beautiful instrument and has had little use over the years.
It is made in stained sycamore and comes with two good cane reeds. Sadly, Mr. Hanchet is no longer with us, but I believe Lizzie Gutteridge is now making reeds that are suitable for these instruments.
