An exquisite little harp, 17 gut strings, just over two octaves B3-D6. It’s made from ash with a body carved from a single piece of what looks like apple.
I had previously listed this as being made by contemporary Bristish luthier George Stevens, but it turns out I was wrong about this. George was kind enough to suggest that the harp was likely made by Tim Hobrough, a prolific maker who spent the majority of his working life in Scotland. Having done some research, I’m fairly confident that he’s right about this. Here is an image of the late Samuel Milligan playing an almost identical Horbrough harp.
In excellent condition, playing perfectly.
