Resonator Tenor Guitar by Chanticleer-£1200

A very wonderful instrument from luthier Patrick Arbuthnot, this should perhaps be more accurately desribed as a plectrum resonator guitar, having a scale length that would make it more like a plectrum banjo than a tenor.

Either way, it’s a marvellous instrument which plays beautifully and sounds great. A fair amount of wear to the frets, plenty of minor scratches and someone seems to have changed their mind as to where the strap button should go. This is clearly an instrument which has been played a lot, and understandably so.

Maple neck with an ebony fingerboard and headstock overlay.

scale length: 690 cm

Currently tuned GDAE, an octave below a violin.

Comes in a very good Calton hard case
