A very nice short scale ‘Goodtime’ 5-string banjo by Deering. This appears to be the Leader ‘Parlour’ model.
A very economical piece of design, with laser cut wooden inlays and a very sensible, if slightly unsightly neck joint, these are really good beginner to intermediate banjos made in the Deering factory in California.
This model has proper geared planetary tuners as opposed to the guitar style ones on cheaper Goodtime models and has 19 frets (580mm scale length) so good for people with smaller hands or as a travel banjo perhaps.
Plays well and sounds great.
