An interesting tenor recorder by Albert Lockwood.
It’s made from rosewood and is playing in tune at A440, but for some reason the top D in the bottom register requires you to have your ring finger down as well as your middle finger. Wouldn’t bother me but worth mentioning.
He’s come up with a clever design to get the bottom hole (or pair of holes to be precise) higher up the instrument and therefore easier to reach. He’s acheived this by making the the bottom joint very thick and cutting the holes at a very steep angle. This works well, although it does mean that the tenon for the foot joint is shorter than normal.
Would therefore be more suitable for someone with small hands than most keyless tenors.
It has a nice, open tone and blows quite easily.
