A gorgeous treble viol made by David Miles in 1992.
Back and sides from beautiful flamed maple, with a maple or possibly sycamore fingerboard and tailpiece. There is extensive ornamental purfling.
Playing nicely and sounding great. The boxwood pegs are working well. Comes with a fitted kingham case.
The instrument is in very good condition, with the exception of a dent in the side of the instrument, just to the right of the hook bar (see photos). This is probably the safest place for that to happen as, at that point, the sides are gued to the end block (a block of solid wood inside the instrument).
The photos show the instrument strung with modern strings but will be have been restrung with gut by the time you read this.
Comes with an excellent kingham hard case.
