A good modern viol made in China at the Lu Mi workshop. It is in as-new condition, looks as if it’s hardly been played. Could perhaps benefit from some new strings in the near future but otherwise it’s perfect.
These viols are sold through the Early Music Shop here in the UK and are good, solid instruments. This is the standard model, based on an instrument by the English maker Henry Jaye (died 1643).
It comes with a very good fitted hard case. the EMS still sell this model and its case, the combined price of which would be £2400.
